Today’s Café online group photo exhibition

“Today’s Cafe” is the group photo exhibition that has been online held for interested people since March 13, 2023 on the “Cadregallery” website.

Besat Emami, Parisa Fotovat, Negar Hasheminasab, Mostafa Hayati, Bita Houshmand, Fatemeh Pazoki, and Njdeh Tahmasian Savarani are seven photographers who captured 30 color photos from cafes in Tehran with the guidance of “Mehdi Vosoughnia”.

The statement of this exhibition states

With the passage of time and along with social developments in the country, Iranian cafés have undergone fundamental changes. In the past, cafés used to be the favorite haunt of political and literary figures, where enlightenment and social discussion took place. With the increase in the popularity of cafés in the 2010s, this urban space welcomed new functions. It seems today’s cafés are more than just a place for romantic and friendly dates or simply entertainment and have become a place for carrying out daily tasks. For some going to a café is a way of life that gives them the opportunity to be away from the hustle and bustle of daily life or have new experiences with like-minded people. In the upcoming collection, which was taken in the late 2010s, we tried to analyze the small part of cafés and cafés dwellers in Tehran.

This is the third online photo exhibition of “Cadregallery” since its establishment in November 2020.
